Evaporative Cooling Tips

Here are some handy tips on getting the most out of your Evaporative Cooling System

Opening Doors & Windows:

For evaporative cooling systems it is important to leave a few windows or doors open slightly to help with airflow. (Great news if you have Kids in and out all day or visitors as you wont lose all of your hard work cooling down the room like you will with split systems) You need to think about which way you want the air from your vent to flow and open the door or window in that direction, that way the air takes the easiest route in the direction of the door / window.

How It Works:

Evaporative cooling systems draw in fresh air from outside your house, as the fresh air is drawn in it passes through filter pads that have been moistened which chills the air before it travels through your ducts and into your rooms. The air volume coming from the cooling system fills your rooms with fresh cool air and pushes out the old warm stale air leaving your rooms cool & fresh.

Cost Benefits:

Evaporative Cooling systems are generally around %50 cheaper to install.

Running evaporative cooling is around 7 times cheaper than refrigerated systems.

Evaporative cooling is based on a natural process of cooling air with water, it does not use any refrigerants or chemicals, does not dry out the air, your skin, eyes or throat.

Service & Repair Costs:

Apart from the savings on running costs of evaporative cooling systems there is usually a considerable saving on evaporative air repairs and servicing.
